Is there a build engine anywhere?

Not pvxwiki!

If not, this would be a great project! filters would be first profession, second profession, campaign, enemy type, and type of build: running, soloing, farming, pve, pvp.

So, you want an ingame search and assign function for PvX? Seriously, if a build exists, it is either already on PvX or a personal private build someone has made and kept secret. What would happen if I put in a Class combo and asked for a running build for PvP and used Mo/N. Monk and Necro neither one have running skills, and running in PvP is done strictly for annoying the other team (and usually your own). Furthermore, it would need to limit skills to what you have access to. Say you have ONLY Prophecies, and you want a farming build for E/Me. Most would recommend an Obsidian tank, but that usualy uses Glyph of Swiftness and Sliver Armor, which are not available in Prophecies.

Nevermind, it would be too much time consuming and costly to make a database engine to find builds that people to come across. I was just thinking that you know that there are a lot of people trying to find builds these days and they are just so plain lazy. If there was a build engine it would limit the number of threads of those lazy people to find a build.

sounds to me like you're one of those lazy people who, instead of either making their own build, or failing that; actually clicking on 3 or 4 links on pvx and looking down a list, want everything handed to them on a plate.

PvX is there(and its not the only one out there). They already have filters by profession, campaign and are generally labeled well enough that you can figure out their purposes. If you're too lazy to use that, you're too lazy to use anything else, let alone go and make a new one.

Hahaha nice one DarkFlame! I commend you! I am not asking for it for just only me I would like everyone to use it. Way to point the conversation towards me being lazy... (half true). I have my own builds and there better then pvx wiki.

there are no secret builds as you can see what build a person is running just by clicking on them.

Just find the area that you are wanting to kill or vanquish and then find someone that will run you through it for a fee.

Offer to pay the fee but don't. Once you are in the area simply click on their name and then right down the skills that they are using and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM one build

Map out of the area by saying something like Crap my mother just got home and she is QQing me..I got chores to do or something to this effect.

Map back to the town or outpost..equip the skills and there ya go. One engine.

As you can see this is not ethical but very possible. Anet needs to "hide" our builds so that those of us that actually work on making these builds such as the new and improved 3 monk Vanquish do not have our builds stolen.
